Being gay + a person of color is wild because on one hand you love your culture and your roots and your people but a lot of people around you are still openly homophobic and shitty or uneducated so you try and find solace in the LGBT+ community only to be faced with tons of microagressions and a lack of representation and you end up having to try and balance and exist between both things.
